Total Quality Management (TQM)
Sajan’s Total Quality Management System (TQM) encompasses a robust vendor management system (Sajan Translator Management System, STMS), GCMS and ISO certified processes for ensuring quality from an automated, therefore un-biased, perspective.
Other industry quality measurement tools are post-process tools that are used by the language service provider, which means two things:
- The client does not know the quality of the translations until after the project is completed
- Since the language service provider (LSP) who provided their translations are the same people measuring the quality of those translations, results may be biased.
Strictly post-process quality measurement tools, though useful in reporting for future reference, are inadequate as total quality assurance tools. Through Sajan’s TQM, clients are able to set their threshold for quality measurement so they are in control of capturing the quality metrics necessary to their business at all lifecycle points: before, during and post project.
Sajan’s approach to translation quality encompasses ISO 9001:2000 certified processes, CFR part 11 and Sarbanes-Oxley control points, and an on-demand vendor management system. These compliance tools are built into GCMS and all Sajan processes to ensure the highest level translation quality and customer satisfaction.
